Society for promotion of Education, Environment & Community Health (SPEECH) is a non-profit organization (NPO) has been registered with city district Government under Social Welfare Department since 1991. All donation are tax exempted under item (36) of section (2) of Income Tax ordinance 2001.

Speech Introduction

During 30 years of excellence SPEECH has been working on different programs for welfare of the society specially for up-lifting the living standard of the society. For this purpose, SPEECH has organized many “Rozgar Fares” in which deserving & under privileged members of society received their “Rozgar Carts” for earning their livelihood & females received sewing machines to become earning member of the society.

This kind of fares organized by SPEECH annually to help the needy and under privileged members of society for up-lifting their living standard. Similarly, for Health prevention of the society SPEECH has distributed health kits in more than 200 schools in 1997.

In 1998 SPEECH has made more than 200 Non-Formal Basic Education Schools (NFBE) at primary level, in which more than 1000 students got primary education. This concept of one room school was initiated by ex. President SPEECH Mrs. Hamda Tariq. She represented Pakistan on E-9 Asian Countries workshop on improving training of literacy personnel and their status in April 1997 in Indonesia & approved 46 Free Non-Formal Basic Education Schools under the project “Prime Minister Literacy Commission (PLC)”.

These 46 schools are still functional and now working under Basic Education Community School (BECS), she also developed teachers guide books. SPEECH has contributed a lot to improve literacy rate of Pakistan.

SPEECH is also providing financial support to 180 orphan & deserving student’s college education & contributing in the progress of country for improving formal education literacy rate. For this purpose Speech has initated a support club named as Spark by Speech.
