To celebrate, honor recognize and appreciate contributions of workers “Labour Day” is annually observed on 1^st May. Labour Day is a public holiday in Pakistan as well. All government and non-government organizations, factories and educational institutions remain closed. Labour unions throughout Pakistan organize seminars, rallies and parades where union leaders deliver speeches emphasizing the history of labour day and its importance.
